[DAC] Call for Artists: 11th Hour reminder from Brookline Arts Center

hoping to have local artists well represented in our Conversation Pieces
Outdoor Sculpture Garden.


The UrbanArts Institute at Massachusetts College of Art in partnership with
the Brookline Arts Center  announce an exhibition opportunity for
Massachusetts-based artists/designers:

Deadline: Monday, December 11, 2006
Outdoor Sculpture on Loan at the Brookline Arts Center
CALL FOR SCULPTORS
Eligibility: Open to Massachusetts artists.

Background: The Brookline Arts Center (BAC) seeks to implement a sculpture
loan program for a small number of outdoor sculptures surrounding the
perimeter of its landmark 19th century fire station building. Sculptures
will be on exhibit on a rotating schedule lasting a minimum of 3 months to
several years, depending on availability and feasibility. Individual loan
agreements will be signed. BAC is located in Brookline‚s Saint Mary‚s
neighborhood adjacent to recently renovated Monmouth Park. Founded in 1964,
the BAC serves people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. The Center
serves up to 1,700 students a year, exhibits work by local artists in its
small gallery and hosts the annual national holiday crafts showcase. The
sculpture exhibition project is funded by a small grant from the Brookline
Community Foundation.
